You don’t have to go to the bar to get bar food. These Buffalo Tater Tots are easy to make at home, and will remind you of your favorite wings. Bonus, you can eat them with a fork and keep your fingers clean!
We smoked wings on the BBQ and like to eat them without sauce. Serving these Buffalo Tater Tots on the side gave us the best of both worlds! We use store bought Buffalo Wing sauce, but you can make it using hot sauce (like Franks Red Hot) and adding butter. I just usually have a pre-made bottle in the fridge!
Steve and I love blue cheese. Ranch, Schmanch. For me, the stinkier the better! I get it, though, if it’s not your thing. Skip it. You can serve the tots with schmanch dressing on the side, like a dip. No judgement.
I love that topping the tots this way takes something that is pretty simple and makes a beautiful plate you want to dive into. Set it out on the table and people will forget it was a bag of frozen potatoes! Use these Buffalo Tater Tots as just a place to start. Buffalo Tater Tots
Ingredients
- 1 Pkg Tater Tots
- 4 Tbsp Buffalo Wing Sauce
- 4 Tbsp Crumbled Blue Cheese
- 2 Scallions
- ½ Jalapeño thinly sliced
Instructions
- Cook the Tater Tots using the instructions on the package
- Place the cooked Tots on a plate and drizzle the wing sauce over them, then top with crumbled blue cheese, scallions and Jalapeño
