We’re heading into the Long Weekend with one of our favorite BBQ combinations: beer, potato salad and burgers! It’s the unofficial start to summer here in the midwest and that means everyone is BBQing. The weather finally started to get warm and the best place to be is in the backyard next to the grill with a beer.
Our Long Weekend BBQ is low maintenance and pleases the whole family. They love anything they can make their own, and a Burger can be topped a million different ways. We really do love them with cheese and bacon though! Homemade burgers are super easy and so much better than frozen. Take the time to toast the bun and you won’t be disappointed.
This Week’s Menu
We’re showcasing our pretty potato salad, homemade Knier Burgers and one of Steve’s favorite local beers this week. We also gave you a quick recipe to use up any leftover cooked burgers you might have!
Local Highlight
Steve went and got us a couple of growlers to get through the weekend from our local brewery The Fermentorium. He’s reviewing one of his favorites, Juice Packets, this week. Check out his review of The Fermentorium Juice Packets here.
Bonus Burger Leftover Recipe
Cooked burgers make terrible leftovers. Reheating them can dry them out they just aren’t the same as fresh from the grill. We did a bonus “recipe” this week taking leftovers and turning them into a taco!
We hope you’re having a safe and relaxing Memorial Day Weekend! We’re busy working on more fun summer recipes and can’t wait to share with you!
Cheers!
