Mom's Cookie Waffles

Sweet dessert cookie waffles

Equipment

  • Waffle Maker

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter or Margarine
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2¼ cups Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the waffle maker
  • Cream together butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl on medium speed. Add the vanilla, salt and pumpkin pie seasoning (if using).
  • Increase the speed and add the eggs in, blending until smooth.
  • Decrease the speed and add the flour, mixing well.
  • Drop about ⅓ cup of batter on each grid of the waffle maker. Close and bake until golden (about 2½ minutes).
  • Remove from waffle maker and place on a wire rack to cool.

Notes

Topping suggestions:
  • ice cream
  • whipped cream
  • fruit
  • sprinkles
  • chocolate chips or chocolate sauce
  • caramel
Once cooled, they can be wrapped in plastic and stored for up to 3 days.
